When the original release debuted, it caused a bourbon frenzy—bottles sold for 100× retail, overwhelmed collectors, and left regular bourbons tasting flat by comparison Now, in 2127, Paul Roland—the great-grandson—unveils this new batch not for profit but to give back: attendees of the release event receive a sample until the barrel runs out, symbolizing the brand’s return to passion over commercial pressure.

This Kentucky bourbon, sourced from MB Roland Distillery, features a robust aroma for its proof. Immense Butterfingers candy bar scent is present from the start, with mature corn grain, burnt caramel, and orange peel rounding out the earthy aroma. The palate continues the bourbon’s artisanal flair with notes of charred corn, corn bread, butterscotch, and mixed berries. From the strong notes of Butterfingers and praline brittle on its nose to its charred cornbread and overall earthy finish, this bourbon is a unique sip. While it tastes on the young side, that is likely adding to its unusual selection of flavors. If you’re looking for something that is far from a carbon copy of other Kentucky bourbons and even other MB Roland bourbons, No Pressure Whiskey succeeded in that regard.
