O.H. Ingram differentiates itself in how they age their whiskey. The company ages their whiskey inside a floating former grain barge converted to a 2-story rickhouse that is moored on the riverbank in Ballard County, Kentucky. The company states that O.H. Ingram River Aged “is the only whiskey in the world that spends its entire life on the Mississippi River – years of exposure to the microclimate and humidity of the river, along with its constant motion, creates complexity through a unique interaction between whiskey and oak.” The 2025 edition marks the fifth release of this bourbon. 

Consistency is not necessarily a bad thing when it comes to bourbon, and O.H. Ingram isn’t afraid to embrace this title for their River Aged 2025 Flagship Bourbon. Like last year’s release and releases before that, the sip embodies a classic bourbon profile. It opens with a mix of baking-related scents before transitioning to sweet and spicy notes in the midpoint. Ending on a pleasing combination of spice and aged notes, this year’s Flagship Bourbon release will appeal to those who appreciate a more classic flavor profile. Add to the fact that the company held the price for their flagship offering, and you end up with O.H. Ingram River Aged 2025 Flagship Bourbon delivering a good overall pour.
