The latest release from the Jack Daniel’s Distillery Series, Selection #10 showcases rich decadent dessert notes that will please whiskey drinkers with a sweet tooth.
Jack Daniel’s Distillery Series Selection #10 is a straight Tennessee whiskey barreled in charred white oak and finished with toasted pecan wood chips, and was selected by longtime Jack Daniel’s employee Randy “Goose” Baxter. The distillery selection series is Jack Daniel’s opportunity to be experimental with limited run small batch products that are completely unique from one selection to the next. More details can be found in the company’s press release.
If you’re a fan of rich decadent desserts, then you’ll be very pleased with Jack Daniel’s Distillery Series Selection #10. The toasted pecan wood chips have a clear heavy influence on how this whiskey turned out, producing rich notes of pecan, syrup, peanut butter cups, and chocolate throughout. From start to finish the sip is rich in nature. Its 120 proof only helps to amplify every part of the sip without being overpowering. Jack Daniel’s knocked it out of the park with this one, and I’d love to see this become a larger release for the brand. If you find yourself in Tennessee, this is one to seek out.
