Love it or hate it, the packaging redesign for Bardstown Bourbon Company Bottled in Bond Bourbon is a new take but leaves the bourbon inside fully intact.

Bardstown Bourbon Company initially released their in-house bottled in bond product in 2023. At the time, the bourbon was called Bardstown Bourbon Company Origin Series Bottled in Bond Bourbon and was bottled in the company’s standard packaging, with a small front label and etched glass on the back. In early 2026, Bardstown Bourbon announced a packaging redesign for their core portfolio. This new packaging drops the etched glass for a more pronounced front label and colorway for the lineup. Additionally, the company dropped the “Origin Series” name from the bourbon’s label. All other aspects of the bourbon remain the same, right down to the price.

While the packaging is different, Bardstown Bourbon Company Origin Series Bottled in Bond Bourbon remains the same when it comes to the whiskey inside the bottle. The sip starts off with lighter, sweet notes that highlight its high wheat mashbill; however, it comes across as just average. Thankfully, once you transition to the palate, the bourbon comes alive as pleasing creamy vanilla, frosting, and yellow cake blend seamlessly with oak and spice. Ending on spice, oak, and an intriguing peach bread flavor, the bourbon wraps things up on a good note. There are varying opinions on the packaging redesign; however, there’s no denying that Bardstown Bourbon Company Bottled in Bond Bourbon remains a good, approachable bourbon that many will appreciate at its accessible price point.
