This annual release is shaping up to be one to look forward to year after year.
Wyoming Whiskey National Parks Limited Edition No. 2 is the followup to last year's inaugural release, which raised over $120,000 for the National Parks Foundation. Once again the brand has partnered with Yellowstone Forever, the official nonprofit partner of Yellowstone National Park. According to the press release, “for every bottle sold of Wyoming Whiskey National Parks No. 2 from May 2022 until supplies last, Wyoming Whiskey will donate $5 up to a maximum donation of $150,000 based on distributor depletions to support Yellowstone Forever in preserving Yellowstone National Park for the next generation of wonders, wanderers, and explorers.”
This year's release ups the price $20, however, it also ups the proof by 13 points. And that proof makes a noticeable difference in terms of what is defined in the overall flavor profile. Rich flavors abound throughout, with a large focus on burnt notes. Burnt caramel and vanilla are prominent and intermingle with more earthy flavors. While these notes tend to be a tad overpowering, it still provides for a nice combination overall.
