With a focus on classic flavors, Old Fitzgerald Bottled in Bond Spring 2026 Edition will wow consumers more with the packaging it comes in than the bourbon it contains.

Heaven Hill’s Old Fitzgerald Bottled in Bond Decanter Series is released nationally twice per year, with each release representing one of the two annual distillation seasons: spring and fall. The decanter was inspired by the original 1950s Old Fitzgerald diamond decanter, and the Spring 2026 Edition represents the 17th release in the series. The age of whiskeys bottled for this series varies, with past releases ranging from 8 to 19 years. Additionally, the suggested price varies as well, which tends to correlate with the age of the particular release.

This latest edition of Old Fitzgerald Bottled in Bond tends to focus on more classic flavors throughout its sip. The aroma opens with a focus on sweeter scents, with cinnamon pastry and vanilla frosting laying the foundation. Baking spices and gentle oak appear and carry forward to a midpoint that pulls in more grounded flavors. A dash of vanilla cream adds sweetness to the mix before the sip closes with a short focus on green peppercorn and aged dry oak, along with a dull cinnamon spice.

The Old Fitzgerald Bottled in Bond Spring 2026 Edition follows up a very good run in 2025 thanks to the Spring and Fall releases. Unfortunately, the edition to kick off 2026 just doesn’t reach the same height as those releases did, instead landing solidly in the sea of available good bourbons. Consumers may not care, however, as many are after it due to the incredibly attractive style decanter that the whiskey comes in. Now being priced at roughly $15 per year of age, anyone who is chasing the Old Fitzgerald Bottled in Bond for the bourbon inside versus the bottle it comes in will have a hard time justifying its cost for this latest Spring edition.
