A nice fruit-filled flavor profile with spice is ever so slightly woven in throughout, but the bourbon can't beat Father Time.
Copper Still 36 Rye Bourbon Whiskey is a single barrel bourbon that focuses on having 36% rye in its mashbill. This sourced young bourbon delivers a lighter overall sip that shows the low amount of time it spent in the barrel. Focusing on a more fruit-filled flavor profile, spice is ever-so-slightly woven in throughout. While all single barrels will vary in flavor profile, if this particular barrel is any representation, this bourbon is a good reminder that you can’t beat Father Time and it could use another year or two resting in oak.
The bottle being reviewed is from batch 569, bottle number 107, and barrel number 431.
