The third Blanton’s Single Barrel selected by Medicinal Whiskey Charity can be described in one word - balanced.
Medicinal Whiskey Charity’s mission is “Fighting childhood illness with the power and passion of whiskey enthusiasts.” The organization selects barrels and organizes fundraisers that center around them to raise money for children’s hospitals. In 2021 they raised over $170,000 and in 2022 they raised nearly half a million. This is the third barrel of Blanton’s they have selected, and we’re honored to have a bottle to explore and share with our readers.
This particular barrel could be best described in a single word: balanced. It touches on all the right flavor notes one might come to expect from Blanton’s, a little oak, honey, caramel, raisin, hints of spice, and some savory notes. The whiskey doesn’t veer too far in any one direction, which makes it an ideal sipper and representative of the Original Single Barrel brand. It’s another great selection from the team and supports a great cause.
