First released in 2018, Black Button Empire Rye is considered an Empire Rye representing the “whiskey style of New York State.” Its flavor profile is more on the youthful side which comes across throughout the sip. However, the combination of sweet notes with rye spice make for a good combination that shows good potential for this brand in the future. The bottle being reviewed is from Batch #3.
