Big on flavor and low on cost, Benchmark Single Barrel Bourbon delivers a sip full of classic flavors that’s easy to appreciate.
Benchmark Single Barrel Bourbon is a single barrel offering in the Benchmark bourbon lineup, which also includes Benchmark Old No. 8 Brand Bourbon, Top Floor Bourbon, Small Batch Bourbon, Bonded Bourbon, and Full Proof Bourbon. According to Buffalo Trace, the brand is “named after the McAfee brothers who surveyed a site just north of Frankfort in the late 1700s. The rye recipe bourbon is yet another label that honors the storied history of the Distillery and the land it sits on.” While designated a single barrel product, consumers have no way of distinguishing which specific barrel the bottle they’re drinking came from, as no differentiation is noted on the bottle.
Benchmark Single Barrel Bourbon can best be summed up as really pleasant for the price. From its aroma, which delivers traditional scents in various unique forms, to its sweet-and-spicy midpoint that is well-balanced, the sip is really easy to appreciate. Ending on a lingering, gentle spice, the bourbon punches above its consumer-friendly price tag. Being a single barrel product, flavor profiles will vary barrel to barrel; however, if all bottles deliver a similar flavor profile, consumers are rewarded with a really good bourbon at a really great price.
