Bardstown Origin Series Bourbon delivers exactly what consumers are after nowadays: an age stated easy-to-enjoy bourbon for less than $50.
After years of using sourced whiskeys, sometimes blended with portions of in house-distilled whiskeys, Bardstown Bourbon Company finally has its own 100% estate-distilled bourbon. This in-house bourbon is part of the trio of whiskeys that form the Bardstown Origin Series. “The Origin Series is the first opportunity to taste an expression that is 100 percent our whiskey,” said Dan Callaway, VP of Product Development for Bardstown Bourbon Co. in the company’s press release. “We’ve put years of patience into this bottle, waiting six years until we felt it was truly ready to share with the world. The full technical capabilities of our distillery are on display with these three bespoke products.”
Bardstown Origin Series Bourbon isn’t an overly complex sip. Instead, the bourbon focuses on identifiable flavor notes that are easy to identify, and more importantly, when combined, make for an easy-sipping bourbon overall. With its foregoing of darker flavor notes in favor of brighter fruitier flavors, I can see this being an excellent pour to enjoy in warmer weather. A good first showing by Bardstown for their Origin Series Bourbon.
