Press Release

ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. – Raffle tickets are now on sale for Round 13 of the weekly Whiskey Wednesdays charity raffle series, building upon the “Pappy Palooza Pass or Play” series established last year by Elizabethtown-based nonprofit Give 270. Proceeds will benefit CASA of the Heartland, an organization that recruits, trains and supports community volunteers to advocate on behalf of abused and neglected children in Hardin, LaRue, Grayson, Breckinridge and Meade counties.

Set to take place on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. from Oct. 2 through Dec. 18, the raffle gives ticket purchasers the option to “play” for 12 “Pappy” prizes hidden behind 12 locker doors or “pass” for one of a maximum of 12 chances to win the round's ultimate grand prize: a full six-bottle flight of Pappy Van Winkle, which will be drawn on Dec. 18, or one of that night's five Lot "B" 12 year bonus prizes.

In addition, each ticket provides purchasers with five chances to win each week as four bonus prizes are given away, including bottles of Old Rip Van Winkle 10 year, Weller Full Proof, Weller Antique 107 and Weller Special Reserve.

Through proceeds from last year’s “Pappy Palooza” raffle series, Give 270 was able to donate $85,000 to CASA of the Heartland to help recruit additional volunteers and continue to support current volunteers who advocate for the most vulnerable children in the community. The organization relies on community support and partnerships to accomplish their mission each year.

"We were able to have a great outcome for CASA of the Heartland last year, and we’re excited to build on that momentum as we bring back Pappy Palooza with even more incredible prizes up for grabs," said Eric Clemens, Board Chair of Give 270.

Whiskey Wednesdays Round 13 raffles are set to take place live on Give 270’s Facebook page and YouTube channel. Priced at $5 each, there is no limit to the amount of tickets purchased per individual each week.
