Press Release

LEE,NH:  New Hampshire’s Farm Distillery is taking another big step, breaking ground on what will be a 5,000 square foot building to house their distillery production, along with their Tasting Room & Store.

“This is not just a big deal for Flag Hill, but for craft spirits in New Hampshire and New England,” said Distiller and Owner Brian Ferguson.  “This is an investment into New Hampshire spirits competing with some of the larger brands in the country.  We will be expanding our production capacity by 5 times what we are currently capable of, which is a gamechanger.”

The new distillery building will house a new still for Flag Hill, increasing volume and allowing them to create high quality spirits while increasing energy efficiency.  This will benefit all New England producers who need to source any spirits, because there will be a local producer for their co-packing needs that is competitive with national brands.

Shifting of the distillery production to a new building also benefits the Winery.  Now the estate and fruit wines can expand into the former distillery areas.  This will be essential in the next 5 years as the vineyard continues to grow with new vines going into the ground.

Another great benefit to visitors of Flag Hill will be their new tasting room located in the same building.  Past visitors of the tasting room will know the limited view of the vineyard and farm grounds.  This will not be the case with the new space, which will boast vineyard facing windows along with a large open-air deck for guests. “The Flag Hill team may share a fondness for the old space like many longtime fans,” stated chief Brand Ambassador Nicole Raymond, “but it will be fantastic to sit with a glass of one of our estate wines while enjoying a first-class view of the very land that grew the grapes and the grains that makes our wines and whiskies.”

The new Tasting Room will also allow Flag Hill to expand their current offerings, going beyond wines, spirits and a few hardy snacks.  “Though nothing is set in stone,” Brian added, “we are looking to provide more of a café style element that with help fill the experience for our visitors.”

Construction will be ongoing this year, with hopes to complete the main stages of construction by the fall.  For those looking for the most up to date timelines for the grand opening of the facility, be sure to follow Flag Hill’s social media.  They will be posting updates on the process and any dates once they are set.

Flag Hill Distillery & Winery is known for its aromatic white wines, grain to glass whiskies and stunning wedding views.  It is open to the public 7 days a week (11:00am – 5:00pm) for spirit and wine tastings, glasses of wine & spirit and snacks. There is a self-guided tour of the vineyard and farm daily, and one guided tour a week on Saturdays at noon.
