This New York rye whiskey will challenge whiskey drinkers with its rich, unique flavor profile that isn’t like anything else.
Two Souls Spirits is an independent bottler headed by James Estrada and Chad Civetti. Known as “The Whiskey Doctor,” Estrada has written for Bourbon Sippers and co-hosts the Whiskey Uncut Podcast. According to Two Souls Spirits, they intend to “curate craft spirits from across the United States,” that are “big, bold, 100% uncut and unfiltered, and exceptionally rare.”
Like Finger Lakes Distilling’s bourbons, their rye is equally unique. The whiskey’s flavors are surprising and shock you into doing a double-take. Ginger, ginger ale, green apple, botanically driven gin, and white grapes against persisting rye spice make for a sip like no other. The flavors are amplified by the whiskey’s proof, with a rich palate that really lets the flavors come through. This New York rye will challenge most whiskey drinkers who could find themselves either loving or disliking this whiskey. But if you’re looking for a unique-flavored craft rye whiskey this one hits that “uniqueness” ball out of the park.
