Burnside Goose Hollow RSV Bourbon is a blend of four straight whiskeys that is finished for 45 days in casks made with Oregon white oak from the Quercus Garryana tree species. While finishing in wine casks or other spirit casks is common, finishing in casks made with unique wood is an entirely different beast.

The nose only gives slight hints of the distinctness that is to come, with the sip immediately revealing its quirkiness. Unique oak finishes are rarely in your face and instead are more nuanced, offering shades of subtlety. Burnside Goose Hollow RSV Bourbon follows this path and its flavor profile has a lot in common with scotch, especially its finish.
