Press Release

Chattanooga, TN (October 2024) – Chattanooga Whiskey today announced the latest release in their Bottled in Bond Vintage Series: Fall 2020. Barreled from July 2020 through December 2020, this seasonally-inspired blend  was crafted to showcase the fall and winter flavors imparted by multiple "roasted" bourbon mash bills.

As with previous vintages, Fall 2020 was produced exclusively at Chattanooga Whiskey’s Riverfront Distillery as an ongoing collaborative effort between the entire distilling team to create a new vintage for each 6-month  distilling "season."

“Every six months, our team of distillers comes together to decide which recipes to make that season. Sometimes  they choose to make more of our wheated bourbon recipe. Other times, they decide to make more of our roasted  recipe. Occasionally, they'll decide to scale up a promising new mash bill from our Experimental Distillery."
- Grant McCracken, Founding Distiller.

Unlike previous vintages, the Fall 2020 blend includes a new mash bill to the BIB series, known as "SB101." Named after the 101st barrel filled at the company's Experimental Distillery, this 5-grain mash bill contains two varieties of drum-roasted caramel malted barley. This recipe – along with others in the blend – amplifies  chocolate and toffee flavors that complement the cooler weather of the fall and winter seasons. More  information on Chattanooga Whiskey's mash bills can be found at https://chattanoogawhiskey.com/mashbills/.

"Like nearly every one of our recipes, 'Single Barrel 101' began its life as an Experimental Single Barrel. After its  initial release in 2020, we quickly scaled the recipe to our Riverfront Distillery just a month later – it was that good.  Four years later, 'SB101' shows off why we picked it in the first place – perfectly complementing the other mash bills  and adding multiple layers of caramel richness to the blend."
- Grant McCracken, Founding Distiller.

Made in four batches of 10 barrels each, this limited release offers fall and winter notes of oatmeal raisin cookie,  root beer, chocolate malt, pecan pie, and sweet hay.

In 2017, the Chattanooga Whiskey Riverfront Distillery opened as the production home of Chattanooga Whiskey’s  signature expressions: Chattanooga Whiskey 91, Cask 111, and 99 Rye, as well as their Bottled in Bond Vintage  Series, Barrel Finishing Series, and Founder's Anniversary Blend.

Independently owned and operated, Chattanooga Whiskey is committed to making whiskey that emphasizes  quality, complexity, and authenticity through their one-of-a-kind Tennessee High Malt style.
