Breaking Bourbon Needs You!
When we first conceptualized Breaking Bourbon, we really didn’t know exactly what we wanted it to be. We knew we wanted it to be easy to navigate, informative, and have a “bourbon” feel. Simply, we knew what we wanted to see as bourbon enthusiasts, and we set out to create that for others.
Since we launched in 2014, Breaking Bourbon has taken shape and transformed into what you see today. The journey has been nothing short of spectacular. We’ve met a lot of great people, connected with many readers on a personal level, and experienced tremendous growth of our audience. We estimate the website will experience over 3 million page views in 2017 alone, and we’re deeply humbled by that number.
As we look to the future, our goal is clear. We want to make Breaking Bourbon the best and most trusted resource for bourbon enthusiasts, period. We want to make the Release Calendar better. We want to post more reviews. We want to incorporate different forms of media. We want to create more resources. Better resources. We want to engage the audience more effectively and bring the bourbon experience right to your fingertips.
Transforming our ideas into a reality is going to require working with more than just our passion for the hobby. To that end, we are turning to crowdfunding via Patreon to begin raising funds. Patreon is like “Kickstarter for content creators,” and it’s becoming increasingly popular among creators who aren’t necessarily trying to launch a physical product, but rather take their website, podcasts, videos, or some other form of media to the next level.
We know it’s a huge ask, but if you believe in us and want to participate in helping make Breaking Bourbon even better, we’ve got some cool prizes to say thank you, and will be forever honored by your generosity.
Most importantly, we just want to say that whether it’s visiting the site, telling others about us, or going above and beyond by contributing monetarily, thank you for reading and supporting Breaking Bourbon.
