Westward Whiskey
November 9, 2023 (Portland, Ore.) – Westward Whiskey, the pinnacle of American whiskey, introduces its fourth and final club release of the year, Westward Whiskey Cognac Cask - a whiskey that brings together two of the world’s most beloved spirits.
Westward Whiskey Cognac Cask marries the rich history and flavors of Cognac with Westward’s mission to push the confines of tradition. This exclusive offering spent nearly 4 years in new American Oak barrels before an additional year of aging in Cognac casks that had continuously housed XO Cognac for more than 40 years. Westward Lead Blender Miles Munroe had long been on the hunt for the perfect mature French brandy casks, and this final blend showcases subtle hints of Cognac for a well-integrated and approachable whiskey-drinking experience.
Master Blender Miles Munroe said, “Cognac is one of the world's most renowned spirits, known for its great history of blending and maturation techniques which create complexity in the final spirit. Finding these extraordinary French barrels was the key to this unique creation, which artfully blends the distinct flavors of American whiskey with the refined profile of a well-aged Cognac.”
Westward Whiskey Cognac Cask is bottled at 90 proof and priced at $99.95. It is currently available for preorder, exclusively for Whiskey Club members. To access this release, join the Westward Whiskey Club, which reaches more than 35 states across the country.
