This exceptional, limited-edition offering embodies the brand's commitment to quality and defying convention, marrying the distinctive character of rare Japanese Mizunara oak with an infrared toasted bourbon.

This bourbon is named "Kodama," a term for the tree spirits in Japanese folklore. It serves as a nod to the life and spirit of the oak itself, which is fundamental to the brand's craft of whiskey making..

The creation of Pursuit United Kodama Mizunara Bourbon is a blend of two lots of whiskey that share the same Triple Mash Bourbon base: 

● Japanese Mizunara Oak: This rare, costly wood imparts exotic spice and dry, woody notes, a flavor profile the founders were passionate about chasing. 

● Infrared-Toasted American Oak: This specially toasted wood delivers an intense, high vanilla character, providing a creamy, sweet foundation to the blend.

The result is a powerhouse, bottled at cask strength at 117 Proof. The bourbon is blended to taste, not to formula, in the brand's constant pursuit of making it better than what already exists on the shelf.
