Four Gate
LOUISVILLE, KY, November 14th, 2022- Fans of Four Gate Whiskey Company will recognize the names of it’s next two releases. That’s because it shares the same finish barrels as batch #9, Andalusia Key.
Four Gate is proud to announce the release of Andalusia Key Rye and Andalusia Key II this month.
Both releases utilize batch #9’s popular Spanish Oloroso-Dark Rum barrels sourced through Kelvin Cooperage in Louisville, KY. These barrels were originally used to age Spanish Oloroso Sherry and then Dark Rum in the Florida Keys.
Company founders Bill Straub and Bob D’Antoni chose a blend of 7 Year Straight Rye Whiskey for Andalusia Key Rey and a blend of 7 year, 6 month Straight Kentucky Bourbon for Andalusia Key II.
“Andalusia Key Rye is incredible whiskey,” said Chief Barrel Officer Bob D’Antoni.
Batch 25, Andalusia Key Rye, checked in at 115.3 proof and 3,735 bottles were produced. The SRP is $199.
4,014 bottles of Batch 26, Andalusia Key Rye II, were bottled at 116.4 proof. Also sharing a $199 SRP, some fans may wonder the difference between this and the previously released Batch 9.
“You’ll note a few similarities,” said Chief Blending Officer Bill Straub. “But the underlying whiskey is very different in this batch. It’s peppery and floral, which really takes to the finishing well. It’s very unique. This batch comes off slightly less dry,” he added.
Both releases are available to distributors in all states in which Four Gate Whiskey Company is distributed, including KY, TN, IN, LA, TX, GA, FL, and IL as well as online through Seelbachs.com, Bourbonoutfitter.com, and caskers.com.
Four Gate Whiskey Company started in 2018 with the goal of releasing a limited number of unique batches of whiskey products each year.
