Chattanooga, TN (December 9, 2022) – As part of their award-winning Experimental Batch Series, Chattanooga Whiskey today announced the release of Batch 028: Cacao Infused Bourbon Liqueur. 

Inspired by the wintertime flavors of Mexican hot chocolate, this high malt bourbon liqueur was crafted from an experimental mash containing a unique blend of roasted malts. The whiskey was then infused with real vanilla beans, Cassia cinnamon sticks, cane sugar, and two types of cacao nibs - each roasted to highlight characteristics from their respective terroirs. The result celebrates the chocolate flavors from both whiskey and cacao.

‍“As with all of our liqueur expressions, Batch 028 was infused with only all natural ingredients and without the use of artificial or natural flavorings,” said Grant McCracken, Head Distiller and CPO, “Although more time-consuming and costly, this approach expresses the pure flavor of the ingredients, while highlighting the dynamic flavor profiles of the High Malt whiskey base.”
