Press Release

Chattanooga, TN (July 2024) – Chattanooga Whiskey announced the latest release in their Bottled in Bond  Vintage Series: Spring 2020. Barreled from January 2020 through June 2020, this seasonally-inspired vintage was crafted to showcase the lighter spring and summer flavors imparted from the inclusion of multiple wheated mash  bills in this – their 7th blend since 2021.

As with previous vintages, Spring 2020 was produced exclusively at Chattanooga Whiskey’s Riverfront Distillery  and is an ongoing collaborative effort between the entire distilling team – to create a new, seasonally-inspired  blend for each 6-month distilling "season" from the variety of bourbon recipes distilled within the vintage period.

“Each distilling season, our entire grain-to-glass production team comes together to develop our newest Bottled in  Bond vintage. Rather than solely using our signature "Barrel 91" recipe, the team gathers every unique mash bill that  was distilled in the 6-month season and develops a blend to reflect the character of that time period."
- Grant  McCracken, Founding Distiller

The Spring 2020 blend contains three versions of their acclaimed wheated recipe (B005, B005v2, B005v3) – which  contain multiple varieties of malted wheat and malted barley never before used in this mash bill. These malted  grains include Tennessee-grown malted wheat, honey malted barley, and a small amount of cherrywood smoked  malted barley. Information on Chattanooga Whiskey's mash bills can be found at https://chattanoogawhiskey.com/mashbills/

"Although most of our distilling team's experimentation originates at our Experimental Distillery, we've never been afraid to make tweaks to certain recipes on the larger scale of our Riverfront Distillery. These more nuanced  experiments not only provide the team with a deeper understanding of how our classic recipes "work" within our  Riverfront Distillery, but – as a finished product - become a time capsule of what our team was thinking about 4+  years ago."
- Grant McCracken, Founding Distiller.

Made in four batches of 10 barrels each, this limited release offers spring and summer-friendly notes of candied  ginger, vanilla custard, orange blossom honey, and muddled mint, with a fresh oak finish.
