Press Release

Chattanooga, TN (April, 2026) – Chattanooga Whiskey today announced the return of its annual Founder’s Anniversary Blend, scheduled for release at the Chattanooga Whiskey Experimental Distillery on Friday, April 10, 2026.

Curated each year by company Founder Tim Piersant, the 14th Anniversary Blend brings together three unique solera-finished whiskeys that symbolize the brand’s past, present, and future. This year’s blend places  extra emphasis on the company’s home state, by including a Chattanooga-made version of the law-changing 1816 recipe, as well as a wheat whiskey crafted with 100% Tennessee-grown wheat.

To commemorate the fifth Founder’s Blend, ticket holders to this year’s Founder’s Celebration will have the  chance to purchase a limited three-bottle “Anniversary Blend Kit,” which includes a 375ml bottle of each solera  barrel. Priced at $99.99, the three-bottle kit also includes the necessary blending charts and measuring vessels – so enthusiasts can build their own custom blend at home.

“This year’s Anniversary Blend is special to me because it focuses even more on Tennessee. For the first time ever, the 1816 solera includes a Chattanooga-distilled version of the recipe
and the Infinity tank now contains a mash bill  made with 100% Tennessee-grown wheat. Together, these recipes give the blend a rich but approachable flavor  profile that, unsurprisingly, reminds me of home.” - Tim Piersant, Founder, CEO

“This is our fifth-ever Founder’s Blend, and to mark the milestone, we wanted to commemorate it with something  special – beyond just the whiskey itself. For this year, we developed a “Drink Like a Founder” blending kit, which  gives drinkers access to the very same whiskey and tools Tim uses to develop his blend. For Chatt Whiskey lovers, it’s a rare and amazing opportunity.”
- Grant McCracken, Founding Distiller

About the 14th Anniversary Blend - Past, Present, and Future

Chattanooga Whiskey’s Riverfront Distillery is home to its one-of-a-kind Solera Room. Built to symbolize  Chattanooga Whiskey’s past, present, and future, the room houses three custom-charred oak solera barrels, each containing whiskeys of different styles and origin stories.

Each year, Piersant creates the Founder’s Blend by evaluating the whiskey within each solera barrel – then testing different percentages to highlight the best characteristics from each barrel. After that year’s blend is  bottled, the distilling team then refills each solera with new barrels and recipes—which marry together until the following year. This approach allows Founder’s Anniversary Blend to evolve from year-to-year, giving each  release a unique flavor profile that – by nature of the solera process – can never be replicated.

This year’s blend:

1816 (31%) – The Past: The smallest of the three solera barrels (625 gal), 1816 holds Chattanooga Whiskey’s  original founding recipe, first launched in 2012. This whiskey - known as 1816 - worked alongside the company’s  Vote Whiskey campaign to help change century-old laws across Tennessee. This year’s solera addition features a  high malt version of the classic high-rye mash bill, using 21% malted rye in place of unmalted rye.

Barrel 91 (45%) – The Present
: The largest solera barrel (4,000 gal) is filled with Chattanooga Whiskey’s signature  Tennessee High Malt recipe: Barrel 91. This mash bill - which is built on three specialty roasted and toasted malts -  took more than two years of experimentation to develop. Named after its history as the 91st recipe created at the  Experimental Distillery, this Founder’s component contributes the quintessential high malt depth and complexity  to the blend.

Infinity Barrel (24%) – The Future
: The ornately designed Infinity solera barrel (1,645 gal) holds an innovative  blend of non-bourbon whiskeys from both the Experimental and Riverfront Distilleries, which are symbolic of the  company’s “future.” This year’s blend welcomes one new mash bill: a high malt wheat whiskey made with 100%  Tennessee-grown wheat and two types of slow-toasted wheat malt.

Founder’s Anniversary Blend is a recurring release that changes every year to highlight each solera’s evolving  impact on the final blend. This year’s blend offers notes of maraschino cherry, honey graham cracker, cream  cheese frosting, and spiced walnut

About Chattanooga Whiskey:

Founded in 2011, Chattanooga Whiskey fought to change Tennessee law—winning the right to distill whiskey in Chattanooga for the first time in over a century. That bold beginning laid the foundation for everything that  followed, including the creation of the Chattanooga Whiskey Experimental Distillery and the invention of their  distinctive Tennessee High Malt style. To scale their most successful Experimental recipes, the company later  opened their Riverfront Distillery, which transformed small-batch innovation into nationally recognized core expressions.

Since then, Chattanooga Whiskey has grown into one of the most innovative craft distilleries in the country and was just named Craft Producer of the Year for 2026 by Whisky Magazine's Icons of Whisky. Today, the  Experimental Distillery continues to push the boundaries of craft whiskey, introducing more than 50,000 visitors annually to Chattanooga Whiskey’s now iconic story.
