Press Release

New Orleans, La. (Feb. 5, 2025) —Big Easy Spirits Company (BESCO) believes it is time to put the whiskey back in flavored whiskey. Now available in New Orleans, its flagship Big Easy Whiskey is 100% premium, 5-year Straight Whiskey made from Bourbon mash and infused with a proprietary blend of botanicals and fruit that enhance rather than mask the whiskey’s smooth, rich flavor. BESCO redefines the flavored whiskey category with a spirit that captures the laid-back yet refined character of New Orleans.

Easy Drinking

Big Easy Whiskey is a ready-to-drink everyday whiskey for sipping straight over ice and savoring the easy moments. It’s approachable for whiskey drinkers at any stage of their journey. Cocktail impresarios know great drinks can have 10 ingredients or just one. Honoring New Orleans’ rich cocktail history, Big Easy Whiskey brings depth and complexity to cocktail recipes, whether that’s the elegant Easy Over Ice or the coffee-centric Easy Like Sunday Morning.

Easy Raison d’ Etre

BESCO is a New Orleans-based spirits supplier founded by distilled spirits industry veterans and New Orleans natives. Their idea: Bring a high-end spirit to the New Orleans market that’s neither kitschy nor pretentious. Inside and out, Big Easy Whiskey is a testament to the entrepreneurial spirit of its founders’ hometown. It swaps pretense for sincerity and promises to be the life of the party. Its elegant capsule and label recall the ornate fleur de lis patterns of wrought-iron balconies. Bold and boozy, bitter and sweet, Big Easy Whiskey embodies the soul of New Orleans with old-fashioned flavor and modern Big Easy style.

“Big Easy Whiskey is the best of New Orleans in a bottle,” says COO and Master Blender, Kieran Walsh. “New Orleans always adds a unique flavor to everything it touches, much like the carefully crafted infusions in our whiskey ensuring that the essence of the whiskey remains front and center."

(86 proof | 43%ABV | $34.99 750 mL)
Big Easy Whiskey starts with 100 percent American whiskey distilled in Kentucky and Indiana. Its traditional bourbon mash bill is 81 percent corn, 15 percent rye, and 4 percent barley. BESCO ages the whiskey for five years in used bourbon barrels for a softer taste, less influenced by the fresh wood of newer barrels. Big Easy Whiskey emerges as a rich, round, American whiskey that is infused with two dozen herbs, spices, and fruit chosen by Master Blender Kieran Walsh to accentuate the whiskey’s flavor, not compete against it.

Tasting Notes:
On the nose, the familiar toasty flavor of American whiskey gives way to comforting tones of baking spices with elements of vanilla,  cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice. Complex Amaro-like herbal notes of cedar and lemon balm linger on the palate.

HOW TO BUY:
BESCO products are distributed in Louisiana by Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC) and available online at Big Easy Whiskey – Bourbon Outfitter.

About Big Easy Spirits Company

Big Easy Spirits Co, a portfolio of New Orleans-based inventive American spirits, was founded by distilled spirits industry leaders inspired by the creative and entrepreneurial soul of their native New Orleans to build the city’s first modern spirits supplier. They believe the world would be a better place if consumers had real spirits from real places that are damn delicious to drink. Their flagship, Big Easy Whiskey, exists to put the whiskey back in flavored whiskey and give the category the respect it’s due without becoming one more flavored regional product adrift in a sea of sameness. In Spring of 2025, BESCO will launch Le Grand Négociant, a prestige Kentucky bourbon finished in French Armagnac, Calvados, and Cognac brandy casks. BESCO captures the essence of New Orleans with bold, complex spirits that are old fashioned, easygoing, and unpretentious. Visit www.bigeasywhiskey.com to learn more.
