But there are certainly bottles that deserve to be opened and may not accrue as much value. With so many LTEs ,how do you determine what will make a bottle valuable in the future?
- From Breaking Bourbon: Should holiday bourbons be a thing? Last Thursday marked Saint Patrick's Day. Normally associated with Guinness and Irish Whiskey, this year found a new contender for revelers' hearts, with the introduction of Kentucky Owl Bourbon St. Patrick's Edition. While this sounded like it might be a gimmick, our review showed it to be anything but. Now holiday bourbon isn't a new trend, as it joins Barrell Bourbon New Year Bourbon and a few others, but it did get us thinking...what if more holiday themed bourbons start hitting the marketplace in the near future? Will we soon start to see Valentine's Day Bourbon, Halloween Bourbon, Thanksgiving Bourbon (watch out Wild Turkey!), etc? Might sound gimmicky, but from the recent examples we've seen, if done right, these holiday themed bourbons might be worthy of your attention.
