The COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak has created struggles for many around the country - from bars and restaurants to families and children - all who have been negatively impacted by this unprecedented problem. As a result, Breaking Bourbon is raising awareness and money to help charities and causes who are helping those who have been negatively impacted by this.

Breaking Bourbon is both donating and raising money for at least one charity or cause, which will be selected by our Patreon supporters. The charity drive will be linked to our upcoming single barrel release. The release is Barrell Rum - a unique blend of rums we selected and finished in our Single Barrel Club #13 "Weekend" Barrell Bourbon barrel. This "bourbon drinker's" single barrel rum will be release #19, and we've decided to nickname it "Come Together.” This is both an acknowledgement of bringing a rum blend together in a bourbon barrel, and also more importantly, an acknowledgement of the need for all of us to come together to help one another through this difficult time.

We're hoping this has a snowball effect. First, Barrell Craft Spirits, the producer behind the pick, has graciously offered to match Breaking Bourbon's donation. Breaking Bourbon is pledging $5 per bottle for each bottle sold to a Patreon supporter, which at 172 total bottles amounts to as much as $860 from us plus $860 from Barrell Craft Spirits. It may not be a huge number, but it's a starting point of $1,720. And the point is that. We're hoping a little bit from a lot of people makes a dent in the problem, ultimately helping the people and families negatively impacted by COVID-19 and the industry we have all come to love.
