Stop the Stills: Breaking Bourbon is One Year Old!
The Team

It’s been an exciting year for us at Breaking Bourbon. Since our official launch at the end of May 2014 we’ve experienced an overwhelming amount of positive feedback from the bourbon enthusiast community. With over 22,000 unique visitors coming to the site each month, we’re excited and humbled that we can help add to so many bourbon enthusiasts’ knowledge base. This growth has only been possible as a result of community support. Word of mouth, shares on social media, links from other websites, blogs, discussion groups, etc. - the list goes on and on.

When we first conceived Breaking Bourbon, our main goal was to lay the groundwork for an ongoing discussion among the three of us as a way to memorialize our own conversations about bourbon that we had amongst ourselves. What started off as a small idea, has now grown into a full-blown website consisting of a catalogue of over 100 reviews & articles that continues to grow each week.

To that end, we’ve shifted gears over the past year to deliver info to our readers beyond just the reviews that we had set out to initially write. Although we continue to publish reviews about once per week, we’re excited to focus a good deal of our efforts to one-off standalone pages and articles such as the 2015 Bourbon Release Calendar, New 2015 Whiskeys, Bourbon Storage Experiment, and Which State is Best to Buy Bourbon? We have a backlog of ideas in the works which we hope to roll out over the course of the next year or so that will continue to push us to make Breaking Bourbon better each week.

Mainly however, we want to take the opportunity to a raise a glass (or 3!) to you, our readers. We want to extend a sincere THANK YOU for your support this past year. We aim to continue to deliver honest reviews, interesting articles, and hopefully a few welcomed surprises. So pour a glass of something special and join us in celebrating this milestone that you’ve helped make possible. Cheers!

We hope you enjoy visiting Breaking Bourbon as much as we enjoy creating it.

Cheers,

Eric, Nick & Jordan
